ASUS’ New GR70 Gaming Mini PC is Small but Packs a Punch

Published on:

It’s clear that mini PCs have established their place within the market, and from corporate systems to gaming setups, there’s a bit of something for everyone. Take for example ASUS, which recently announced its new ROG GR70, its first gaming mini PC that also features a desktop-class AMD Ryzen 9 CPU.

The GR70 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPU built on the Zen 5 architecture with 2nd generation 3D V-Cache, and is paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or 5060 Laptop GPU. With the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, ASUS says that the RTX 50 Series enhances visuals with more efficient Ray-Tracing and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation to boost frame rates using AI.

Despite its rather compact chassis, the mini PC manages to cram in ASUS’ triple-fan ROG QuietFlow cooling system to maintain low temperatures and keep noise under 4.5dB(A) even during intense gaming. For connectivity, the GR70 includes the latest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, for stable, high-speed online performance. The chassis also features an upgraded tool-less design for easy access to upgrade components like memory and M.2 storage.
