What a nice trip down memory lane, I hadn't played this game in atleast 15+ years so I had completely forgetten it. The soundtrack is so fucking good man, the oriental techno beats plus the occasional rock track here and there really gave this gams a lot of attitude and flair. I didn't remember how good the level design and platforming in this game was. Climbing up structures and acrobating my way atop towers and crubmling structre was way, way more fun than I remembered it. Also the level design is really gorgeous, the interior and exteriors of all these middle eastern inspired fantasy castles is very beautiful and immersive. After a while it really starts to feel like you're moving around in an Arabian Night fairy tale. I think this game was my first exposure to Yuri Lowenthal when I was younger, rexperiencing the game now, boy do they use him well. He's killing it as the Pirnce. Hearing him monolouge throughout the game is such a nice touch. The story is pretty fun to, it's kinda simple in it's nature, but the way it's presented as simple goalposts that you, while bonding with Farah made it a lot more charming. And the ending still fucking rules. Man did I not expect that bath cutscene lmao. My only compaints about this are about the combat being kinda boring and the controls feeling a little clunky at times, otherwise I would say I'm suprised how fun this game was for being so old. It really held up for me. submitted by /u/Wonder-Lad-2Mad |
Beat Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for the first time in decades. Holy shit the music and voice acting in this game was amazing, and the platforming was way more enjoyable than I remembered it.
