Capcom has some big plans in store for its most popular IPs.
In Capcom’s latest integrated report, we learned that Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney, and Mega Man are going to be revived. Other classics may also be revived, the company added.
Capcom shares future plans for popular IPs
Capcom’s 2025 integrated report confirmed what we already know: the main franchises that Capcom is currently focused on include Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and Resident Evil. This much is clear, as we await Resident Evil Requiem in February 2026. A new trailer will be coming during The Game Awards, if you can stomach the show.
However, President and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto said that Capcom wants to go beyond its main franchises. The plan? Dig back up its classic IPs and make new games, ports, and remakes.
It’s starting with the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, which comes in 2026. However, we aren’t too sure what any concrete plans are beyond that.
For now, Capcom is focused on Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Street Fighter 6. It’s also Pragmata, which is seeing a 2026 launch after multiple delays. It’s sci-fi and it has robots, so that’s enough to keep me interested. To be real, fuck the remakes and ports. Boring.
Of course, many gamers want to see these IPs make a comeback, even if it means a lazy remake. So let’s see what Capcom has in store the next few years.
