Apple’s next MacBook Air refresh could reportedly happen “this coming week.” While an iPad Air refresh is also in the pipeline, it will arrive a few weeks later.

The company will supposedly launch the iPad 11 alongside the iPad Air refresh.

Rumors of a March launch for the M4 MacBook Air have been circulating for a few weeks. Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman has consistently claimed the new laptops are just weeks away from being released.

Now, in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Gurman says his sources point to an announcement “as early as this coming week.” Existing stocks of the M3 MacBook Air are already running low across Apple stores.

Barring the switch to a faster and more efficient M4 processor, Apple’s new Air lineup is unlikely to pack any other changes. They should be configurable with up to 32GB system memory and come with other minor upgrades. Battery life may also get a boost, thanks to the superior efficiency of the M4 chip. But overall, the 2025 MacBook Air lineup should look the same as its predecessor.

New iPad Air and entry-level iPad refresh incoming

Apple unveiled the M2 iPad Air in May 2024, and it is also nearing its yearly refresh. Gurman says Apple has started to “wind down inventory of the device at its retail stores.” Even the base iPad 10 could get an upgrade as its stocks are also running low.

However, don’t expect the new iPads to debut alongside the M4 MacBooks. They will purportedly arrive a few weeks later, possibly in late March or early April.

Like the MacBook, the 2025 iPad Air refresh will likely only be an internal spec bump, switching to the M3 chip. Likewise, rumors indicate the iPad 11 refresh could be all about its faster A17 Pro chip.
