“The wine you are looking for doesn’t belong to us… it belongs to God.” And I want to try it! 🍇 Apple TV has revealed the full official trailer for Season 2 of the entrancing wine lovers series called Drops of God, which originally premiered with Season 1 back in 2023 during the pandemic. I’m a big fan of this show! And of course they went and made a sequel! Time to top up your glass: a new season of the globe-trotting wine odyssey is about to be served this winter. Actors Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita return as the duo Camille and Issei. Set in the high-stakes world of fine wines and gastronomy, Season 2 continues with another exciting mission: to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, a mystery so profound that even their legendary father, Alexandre Léger, could not solve it… But what begins as a pursuit of legacy, becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. The full cast also includes Tom Wozniczka, Makiko Watanabe, Satoshi Nikaido, Gustave Kervern, Cécile Bois, Luca Terracciano, Diego Ribon. This next season looks like a dark thriller, with murder and conspiracies and everything. Huh, okay. Still will be watching this anyway.

In Season 2 of Apple TV’s series Drops of God, Camille (Fleur Geffrier) and Issei (Tomohisa Yamashita) are thrust into their most perilous challenge yet: to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine 🍷 a mystery so profound that even their legendary father, Alexandre Léger, could not solve it. What begins as a pursuit of legacy becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. As the search pushes them to the edges of the world, and to the darkest corners of themselves, Camille and Issei must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice. Drops of God is created and written by French-Vietnamese filmmaker / writer Quoc Dang Tran, writer on French TV series “Fais pas ci, fais pas ça”, “Kaboul Kitchen”, “Nox”, “Marianne” and “Parallels” previously. With additional writing in Season 2 by Simon Jablonka, Claire Lemaréchal, Clive Bradley, Sonia Moyersoen. Featuring episodes by directed by Oded Ruskin (who also directed all of the first season). Produced by Klaus Zimmermann. It’s adapted from the New York Times bestselling Japanese manga series of the same name. Apple debuts Drops of God – Season 2 streaming on Apple TV starting on January 21st, 2026 until March.
