TAGN Fantasy Critic League 2025 – Week Eleven and Assassin’s Creed Shadows Shows UbiSoft Hasn’t Screwed Up Its Entire Business Yet

Published on:

Week eleven now has almost everybody on the board with a score as well as seeing how a couple of big titles have shaken out when it came to reviews.

Fantasy Critic League – Like Fantasy Football, but for Video Games

The big name launch of the week was Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is getting some good press, while MLB 25 the Show settled down a bit as more reviews showed up.  But first, the score recap from week ten.

The Standings for Week 10

That is where we left things last week.

This week, as expected, the bot announced three games had launched.

  • MLB the Show 25 has released!
    • [Picked by Neutical Publishing (Cyanbane)]
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows has released!
    • [Picked by Rusty Shackleford (Shilgrod), Counter Picked by Rodent Entertainment (Arhanta)]
  • Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land has released!
    • [Picked by Crash and Burn Games (Shawn)]

Of those, one had a score update last week that remained unchanged:

  • Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
    • [Picked by Crash and Burn Games (Shawn)]
    • Score has gone UP from 77.9 to 79.7

The other two launches each had scores added to the board.  Assassin’s Creed Shadows came in solid.

  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows
    • [Picked by Rusty Shackleford (Shilgrod), Counter Picked by Rodent Entertainment (Arhanta)]
    • Now has a score of 81.3

That is a solid 11 points for Shilgrod and an 11 point hit to Arhanta, who chose the title as a counter pick.  Not the first counter pick to cause some pain.

Likewise, MLB the Show 25 came in solid, though sagged a bit as more reviews came in.

  • MLB the Show 25
    • [Picked by Neutical Publishing (Cyanbane)]
    • Now has a score of 81.7
  • MLB the Show 25
    • [Picked by Neutical Publishing (Cyanbane)]
    • Score has gone DOWN from 81.7 to 77.9

That covers the new releases.  Meanwhile, WWE 2K25 fell over the course of the week as reviews piled up.

  • WWE 2K25
    • [Picked by Rusty Shackleford (Shilgrod)]
    • Score has gone DOWN from 81.6 to 80.4
  • WWE 2K25
    • [Picked by Rusty Shackleford (Shilgrod)]
    • Score has gone DOWN from 80.5 to 79.0

All of which left the scoreboard for week eleven looking like this.

The Standings for Week 11

Potshot holds on to first place, with Kluwes in second, both with only two titles released.  The projections switched again however, with the game now putting Shintar back as its first place prediction for the final score.  I, however, remain in 10th slot for that call.

Week eleven also saw two bids, one for a pick and one for a counter pick.

For the pick we had a duel won by Potshot with a $21 bid.

  • Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
    • Won by Hare Brained Schemes (p0tsh0t) with a bid of $21
    • Rodent Entertainment (Arhanta)’s bid of $6 did not succeed: Publisher was outbid.

For the counter pick, Potshot was also on board, selecting his call for the season.

  • Mafia: The Old Country
    • Won by Hare Brained Schemes (p0tsh0t) with a bid of $1 (🎯 Counter Pick)

A remind for those yet to grab a counter pick, once you choose one you’re stuck with it… as is the person who made the pick.

Coming up for week twelve we have two titles launching on Thursday.

Coming Up for Week 12

That will give Potshot his third title released while Bhagpuss will get his first score on the board.

As it stands, Atomfall already has enough reviews to have a preliminary score.

  • Atomfall
    • [Picked by Pretty Blue Fox Games (Bhagpuss)]
    • Now has a score of 75.7

We shall see if that holds as the week unfolds.  The score will be on the board Friday morning after stats are updated.
